The Third War?

DETONATION OF BOMBS - THE THIRD WAR?

BUKIT MERTAJAM, Thu. - Few tamans in the vicinity of Bukit Mertajam were cordoned off as what seems to be colourful bombs were detonated continuously for half an hour.

.

The reports were made at 12.00am sharp, the beginning of Chinese New Year. Many residents reported noises of bombs and were panicked and quickly called the police for help, only to get disappointing answers as the police had no idea what transpired.

Police rushed to the scenes and immediately and were thunderstruck by what they witnessed. The entire place was chaotic: bombs were detonating, fire gases were released, various kinds of hand grenades were thrown to the air, hitting electric wires and setting off fire.

While the hand grenades exploded beautifully and colourfully, the police immediately had the entire place cordoned off and evacuated the residents, who were fleeing the scene like rabbit escaped from snakes.

The so-called 'Third War' stopped 30 minutes later and the air there was immediately filled with stench. Roads were dirty and the air was foul.

"We have no idea what caused this war to begin" said Mr. Ajam, a policeman. "The whole thing was crazy, it's like the third world war."

The police have yet to confirm the cause and the people involved.
