Badminton

Back from badminton. Not very tired as I didn't run much, but yet I sweat a lot, and the heat is killing me.

I lost a bottle while playing. I remember I was holding it while I was walking back to the hall after a tea break. But my bottle just went astray and I couldn't locate it anywhere.

Luckily it's a cheap bottle, cost not more than RM1.

Anyway, for those who cares, I'm getting better with my class. I have assimilated into a few groups of people, although their interests are dissimilar from mine.

Not all of them are geeky. Perhaps they were just too shy to speak during the first two weeks, now my class has turned into a noisy class that shocked me because I thought they are only good in reading.

I have to shamefully admit I have made a mistake. They are just the same as others--Noisy!!

But, I still miss 3A5. It's the best class I have ever been and I'm pretty sure no class is better than 3A5.

Clean thoughts

Found this in another blog.

======================================================

Ms Brooks was having trouble with one of her first-grade pupils.

"Johnny, what is your problem?"

Johnny answered, "I'm too smart for the first Grade. My sister is in third grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the third-grade too!"

Ms Brooks had had enough, so she took Johnny to the principal's office.

The principal agreed he would give the boy a test and if he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the first-grade and behave.

He started by asking Johnny some simple arithmetic.

"What is three times three?"

"Nine, Sir."

"How much is nine times six?"

"Fifty-four."

And so it went with every question that principal thought a third-grade should know. The principal looked at Ms. Brooks and said, "I think Johnny can go to the third grade! He seems smart enough."

Ms Brooks said to the principal, "Let me ask him some questions?"

The principal and Johnny both agreed.

Ms Brooks said, "What does a cow have four of that I have only two of?"

Johnny, after a moment, answered "Legs, Ma'am"

"What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?"

"Pockets!"

"Ok, what does a dog do that a man steps into?"

"Pants!"

"What starts with a C and ends with a T, is hairy, oval, delicious and contains thin whitish liquid?"

"Coconut!"

"What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky?"

The principal's eyes opened really wide and before he could stop the answer, Johnny was taking charge.

"Bubblegum!"

"What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a dog does on three legs?"

"Shake hands, Ma'am."

"Now for some 'Who am I' sort of questions, OK? First one. You stick your poles inside me, you tie me down to get me up, and I get wet before you do."

Johnny, quick as ever, answered "Tent!"

"OK, a finger goes in me. You fiddle with me when you're bored. The best man always has me first."

The principal was looking restless and a bit tense.

But Johnny was on the ball with "Wedding Ring!"

"I come in many sizes. When I'm not well, I drip. When you blow me, you feel good."

"Nose!"

"Right, I have a stiff shaft, my tip penetrates, and I come with a quiver."

"Arrow."

"Good, now with the last one. What word starts with 'F', ends in 'K', and means a lot of heat and excitement?"

"Fire truck, Ma'am!"

The principal breathed a sigh of relief and said to the teacher, "Send him to university!!! I got the last ten questions wrong myself!"

Chemistry

The periodic table of elements. I need to memorise them, part of them, in order to master Chemistry.

Luckily I'm guided by a good teacher. On Thursday she danced in the science lab, with my friend as her partner. As you might have expected, we kept teasing him for "eating teacher's tofu", as he put his hands on my teacher's hips and spun around.

And she always brings us to a science lab equipped with air conditioner. Notice how I use the word "brings"? It's not the past. It's still happening and she is still bringing us to the air-conditioner room.

Lucky us.

Add. Maths teacher did something scary, in 4C1, luckily. She caught three students sleeping in her class. Furiously she woke them up, scolded them, and had their handphone numbers and phoned their parents right in the class, in front of 40 pairs of eyes and three weeping students.

I'm lucky I'm not her prey, yet, I wouldn't dare saying I will not be one later.

Warning!

Red Alert! Red Alert! Two ferocious dogs escaped from Tanjung Rambutan, currently lurking around Taman XXX and some people have been reported to be bitten!! Red Alert! Red Alert.

Haha~~
I was cycling on Saturday evening. A dog chased after me, barking fiercely at me and ran after me, in a slow pace, luckily. I wasn't scared but I cycled faster. The second time wasn't that lucky. I was cycling, looking at the houses when a dog suddenly came chasing after me. It caught me off guard, and I was practically panting after I escaped. Geez....he had almost bitten my leg. I had decided not to cycle today, not with two ferocious dogs lurking around my house, ready to bite me. haha.. xD

I kill my time by surfing the internet. And by "internet", I mean facebook. Blogging too, but less often. Facebook is still getting boring. But thanks to the existence of Restaurant City, I killed my time by looking for the Gourmet King. It seems daft, but I guess it is. I was praying that I could play badminton this afternoon. I hadn't played for 2 months, and my hands were itching and I wanted to swing. But lucky wasn't always on my side. The hall was used. Again, a boring Sunday afternoon.

But I went to Megamall. Form 4 is not going to be easy, and I'm pretty sure I'm mentally prepared. I bought some reference books. Something funny happened. Me and my mother went to the Thai restaurant and we ordered our meals. My mother's meal was overcooked, and mine was like uncooked. The chef must be new! A singing competition was being held. And my ossicles were struggling to keep themselves from bursting. Their singing was awful and their voices were hoarse. And they kept singing. God!!

Third Week

Again, my weekly update.

==January 18, 2010, Monday==
News about the capsized boat has been the centre of attraction of every newspapers all over Malaysia. When I heard of the news, I was pained. I lost a relative two years ago, my grandmother. I wasn't very close to her, and yet I cried during her funeral. So I know exactly how the deceased's relatives and friends feel. I couldn't imagine what will happen to me if I lose a friend. I don't want to make that assumption. It pains.

Lim Guan Eng comes to our school. Embarassingly, I couldn't recognise him because I have never met him before. Politics has never caught my attention. I just ignore all political news in the newspapers.

==January 19, 2010, Tuesday==
Chemistry teacher has nearly gone berserk when she learnt that we are not fully prepared for her lesson. She gives us a lecture, not long, not emotional, but we know she is a wee bit disappointed. We write an English essay today. Yeppie!! My Malay teacher loves to drag, and half of my class don't like his teaching, albeit his friendliness is much appreciated. News about the capsized boat is still hot. My most sincere condolences are sent to the six deceased. May all of you rest in peace.

==January 20, 2010, Wednesday==
Gate locked!! Great. Now we don't have to enter the class. You think it's true?? Go dream la. It is open later. I almost slept during Physics. After that, one of my friends requests my classmates to sing a birthday song for me. I flee from the class immediately. Who knows?? When I return, they sing the song for me. Thanks guys.

Happy Birthday wishes are thrown to me. I felt embarassed, because I don't know their birthdays. Photoshooting sessions are being conducted. And Kai Zhe did something funny. He smile abruptly, showing all his teeth when the photo was about to be taken. All of the people burst out laughing. So did I!

Afternoon we go to a restaurant for our lunch. We waited for 45 minutes, and due to the lack of time, we have to leave, with an empty stomach. We walk back to the school and have lunch there. Activity day. 21 new form 3 students. Welcome to the family, although I can see that most of you are deadly bored.

End of my 16th birthday.

==January 21, 2010, Thursday==
I miss 3A5 so much!! I thought I can get over it, so it doesn't seem to be easy. An experiment is being conducted that tested our creativity. History sejarah makes all of us on fire. We hope so much we can yell at him, but we couldn't. Anyway, every single impression he gives us has been destroyed completely. My very first time fully-awaken condition during Biology lesson. Tuition in the afternoon. Today is also the day two of my friends celebrate their birthday.

==January 22, 2010, Friday==
There has been a change in our timetable, again. My english teacher is really frustrated, and so do we. We are requested to write an essay. I have no idea what to write, so I have to improvise. House Practice in the afternoon. So boring!! Jacky tells me he reads my blog, and praised that my vocabulary is great. I'm not expecting readers, except those I have known now, because I know my blog is dull. And Jacky, please don't flatter me. My vocabulary is still weak.

I hate replacement...haiz......feel so tired right now.

Sorry guys...no time to decorate my blog with pictures...will do it if I have time......

Happy Birthday

It's my 16 birthday. To think happily, I should consider my birthday as the day I was born to the world, the day I know the surroundings. To think negatively, I have grown one year older and today was also the day my mum suffered to bring me to this world, for hours. The pain was no doubt excruciating. I appreciate her perseverance.

Half of my classmates remembered. And some of my friends. They actually sang Happy Birthday song in the class for me. Thanks.

Don't expect me to shed a tear.
Well....I have got to go. It's my birthday afterall...

Mourn

The bodies of all SMJK Chung Ling students who were involved in a tragic incident were found. Two were found on Sunday, the day the unfortunate accident happened, and the other four students were found on the next day.

SMJK Chung Ling, one of the top schools in Malaysia, has created many top students. It is sad that five students are dead in a tragic accident. Not to mention the teacher, he was so young. In fact, they were all young and deserved to live.

They were top students in their school. They scored 8As, one 7As (if I'm not mistaken) in PMR. They passed them with flying colours.

They deserved a second chance. A tragic that happened by accident should not have taken their lives away.

They deserved to be remembered. They were top students who scored high results.

They deserved to be mourned. They died in a tragic accident that could have happened to anyone but them.

They don't deserve to be blamed. Aspersions should not be cast upon them. They have died. Just let them rest in peace.

God bless you. Students. Hope you guys have a peaceful life in the other world.

Updates

OK. Due to the lack of time, I have to update my blog weekly, unless I have something I am keen to share with everyone, or else I'm updating my blog every Saturday and Sunday.

Let's begin with Monday.

==11 January==
My Chemistry class. My chemistry teacher is a humourous teacher. She is good in talking jokes, and intimadating of course, spooking us with a true fact that none of us likes to hear about. Anyway, I ignored it.
Time drags, and then later we realise that the time tables have been amended, and we are using the new one beginning tomorrow. Our form teacher is not in school, and therefore we have no idea what to do. Thanks to our english teacher for telling us, or else we will be going to school bringing the wrong books and spending the entire morning lazing around. It's my friend's birthday today, and I have almost forgotten that.

==12 January==
Due to the changes of the time table, we have six Biology classes and six Chemistry classes this week. Somehow we are elated, at least we are about to learn something what we want to learn. I mean, there's a reason why we chose science class, right? Nothing much happened. My Modern Maths teacher is still bad in teaching. My Add. Maths, on the other hand, gives us so many questions to solve. We are supposed to solve the puzzles, but the puzzles puzzled us instead.

==13 January==
First class of physics. I don't like Physics. I hate Physics, and also loves Physics because of the mathematical formulas I'm about to learn. Hate+Love=Neutralisation. No feelings grow towards Physics. Complicated? Then forget about it. We all have activities in the afternoon. By 'we' I exclude the form 3 students. We leave the school and make our way to a restaurant nearby. Me and A decide to pay for B's lunch, as a birthday present. It's belated, but he wouldn't mind, I reckon. Hot, hot and hot, walking in the sun is just hot.

==14 January==
More puzzles for us to solve, worse still, we are more puzzled than the puzzles. Our puzzles, accumulated, have outnumbered the puzzles that our teacher give us, and hence, as the puzzles increasing, our teacher is lost to rearrange them (Please try to figure out what I wrote metaphorically). Six classes of Science today, and out Chemistry teacher brings us to a science lab with air-conditioner. It is so cool and comfortable. Great. I hope this will continue. History teacher likes to talk, the bell has rung, and he still refuses to let us go. Haiz....First day of tuition, the room is quite packed.

==15 January==
What to say? IT list out, and my IT class is on Thursday. Most of us need to rearrange our time table just because of the idiot mastermind behind the IT list. Complaints are thrown to him, and he smartly avoided all of it. How he avoid it? Simple. Using a simple word: "It's your own problem". One more word from us and we are all corpses. Idiot!! House Practice, doing those silly things again that no one is eager of doing.

==16 January==
Morning activity. I never thought they will ask us to march. We are a little shocked but yet do it dutifully. Then they order us to cook. Cabbage, eggs, oil, salt, water, fishballs, meat. I scrutinise how they cook. I know they can't cook the minute they pour the oil. They don't have to pour so much oil to fry an egg. And their cabbage is uncooked. I don't care. I didn't join them, there is no reason for me to eat that piece of garbage. 12.30pm, the minute all of us are waiting for. Like a rabbit, we fled instantly as the time clocked 12.30pm. Afternoon, again, I'm exhausted. And I sleep again, and as I wake up, I eat my dinner.

End of story.

Friday 15 January 2010

Brief

Due to my teacher's incompetence, I have to go to tuition classes so that I can keep my Malay on the par with SPM standard. My Malay tuition teacher sounds a little racialism, although I know they are only jokes. And it seemed unorthodox in a way that enlightened us. Anyway, he wouldn't be teaching Malay if he is a racialist, wouldn't he? Add. Maths have so far annoyed most of my friends, including me of course, although I hate to admit it. Anyway I felt like my Add.Maths have improved, slowly but significantly. I know I will fail my first class test. As mentioned by my Chemistry teacher, who didn't even consider to give us some time to digest whatever we are consuming in this few months, has frightened us with a horrifying sentence: "It's very common to fail 5 subjects in your first class test." Very helpful.

Whoever did the IT list must be a brainless person. Everyone was shocked to see the timetable. He or she arranged the time in a way that was totally out of expectation. Everybody was expecting that IT class will be scheduled on the same day with the House Practice. It was the usual thing they did, and what we had expected. But they didn't do the usual. Instead, they mixed all of them together and arranged the list arbitrarily. 80% of the students in my form need to reschedule their time table and tuition classes. Whoever did the time table should be scolded!!

I Still Hate My Class

I went to school activity this morning. Honestly, boys in PBSM is getting lesser and lesser. For the entire form 4 only 7 boys are active, a pathetic number that mirrored how uninteresting PBSM is getting. Anyway, after the activity, I was zonked out, and I slept hour for 2 hours in the afternoon.

When I woke up, I found myself in a daze, unable to think things clearly. Probably it's the natural thing, but somehow I felt uncomfortable in that kind of state.

It had been a week, and my hatred to my class was getting stronger and stronger, like a kerosene lit by fire. My classmates were so hardworking, so quite, so boring, so geeky. The boys enjoyed talking about comics, manga, and computer games. The topics they discussed were Spanish to me. I didn't understand whatever they were talking about.

My Add.Maths teacher had begun to teach, and my classmates was bewildered by her teaching. The problem was not the teaching, but the explaining. Her explanation got us completely dumbstruck and we just sat there with out minds circling and mouth agaped. Nonetheless, I understand later.

Friday, after the routine assembly, my legs were numbed. The principal had so much rubbish to dwell upon, and we just stood there listening to his rubbish while bantering with friends.

All of the PMR candidates who got 8As in last year's PMR were about to be photographed. It's actually the another way of saying we are taking RM4 from each of you for your photograph.

Physics have me totally frustrated. I'm on the brink of psychotic now, while scribbling on the paper written full with different answers I have calculated. Biology have me totally keyed up, and somehow memorisation isn't that difficult. I haven't started Chemistry, yet, while I'm focusing on improving both my Malay and Chinese.

I hate my class so much!! I never hate a class like this before, and I know deep in my heart I have to do something in order to make sure the history doesn't repeat by itself. Why on earth that it seems that I'm the only one who is not satisfied with my own class. I'm really annoyed, really frustrated, really hoping and desperately want to change my class. I have never been so lonely in my class, 80% of my friends are in 4S6. Chin Seng, Wee Chin, Yong Shuan, Song Wei, Lawrence, Derrick, Adwin, Zheng Jia........I want to be in the same class with them!! Not in a class like mine this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday 6 January 2010

I hate 4S3

I hate studying in 4S3 so much!! I want to study in 4S6!!

I felt myself pressurised by classmates because all of them are great students. Hard-working, paying attention to what the teachers say, listening to what the teacher says and follow the orders blindly. Although a few of them are talkative, they are not my 'type' of friends as their interest is dissimilar from mine. They enjoy talking about comics, manga, computer games and which to me, a complete gobbledygook.

A was selected to be my class monitor. He refused, and his refusal was ignored. He was looking glum, sombre, and then, abra-cadabra, he was no longer my class monitor. Instead of a boy and a girl, this year two girls are my class monitors. Boys have to compensate for something--physical work. As they are girls, teacher hopes that we'll help them doing works that involved strength.

Anyway, I haven't assimilated into the groups of girls. I have known most of the boys, I guess I have no problem communicating with them. Girls, on the other hand, keep everything to themselves and started studying as tomorrow is examination that determines their fate, once fail and you are dragged down to hell where you suffer for ten months and weeping and weeping and studying and burying yourself in books until you get a satisfactory result.

My Add. Maths teacher came into my class and horrified all of us with a preamble about add.maths. She spooked us about the difficulties we were about to stumble upon, and half of my class were scared out of wits. My Modern Maths teacher stepped her foot in my class, and recognised 10 students who she taught last year, including me.

My Malay teacher was good in talking nonsense. He spent 2 lessons to explain the SPM format. My English teacher is an infamous slacker. My Chinese teacher was good, and she knew my name already. My History teacher is Mageswaran. I don't know what am I about to face. I just face it.

My PJ teacher is about to torture us. He said he would test our physical, and we would have two months to endure...............fine, you want to challenge us? Come and challenge us!

Monday 4 January 2010

4S3

The first day of me going to school in 2010. I woke up around 6.20am, still labouring to keep myself awake, ate my breakfast, bathed and went to school.

It's a new year, which means I will be studying in a new class. This year I am selected in 4S3.

I haven't chummed up any friends yet. I had received my timetable. And guess what? Pn. Ong Swad May is going to teach me Maths again....haiz.......

My class teacher, Pn. NPL is teaching us Chinese. We were briefed with the changes of SPM chinese, and the changes had us totally dumbstruck. The questions that are about to ask in SPM 2011 are worse than preposterous. In fact, it is indescribable. Why have they brought it up to the mountain and makes people feel like giving up? I felt like giving up learning Chinese, but I know I can't.

Anyway, my english teacher is an Indian teacher. Her name is Pn. Lata, lata in chinese means unkempt. Well, I guess she does have a weird name. She is quite friendly and great in socialising. Good for her.

Pn.TPS and Pn. CSB will be teaching me Chemistry and Biology respectively. I have heard of their names, and I guess I'm about to have a good year.

Sunday 3 January 2010

Last Day

Today is Sunday, the 3rd of January and also the last day of our school holiday, although three states have started their schooling today. Anyway, it's the last day I can enjoy sleeping and slacking, and I don't want to waste it. It's way to precious.

Afternoon we went to Queensbay Mall, Penang. The traffic this afternoon was one of the worst I had experienced. My mother motored up until the top floor. When I mean top, I mean rooftop. And my mum couldn't decide where to park her precious car. She was afraid to park her car at A, because it was far from the entrance and if it rained, we would've soaked. She was afraid to park her cark at B, because it was right at the junction and cars could have banged the car easily. Blah.

I had toasts at Old Town White Coffee. Not as lunch, it wouldn't be enough for me. I'm a good eater. The toasts weren't delicious, I don't think I would order it again.

Then I went to Popular. The queue was so long. Most of the people were there to buy books for their new year in school. They offered 20% off for all reference books.

And then I realised many married couple there are of different races. A foreigner, someone from Europe, married a local Chinese and have kids. Have you seen the newspaper? A British woman enrolled her daughter in a chinese primary school here, and of course I'm sure her daughter will be fluent in chinese. Never underestimate the importance of Chinese. Foreigners are learning chinese, I guess we have no excuses to quit learning.

Well, I guess I have got to go. Meet you guys tomorrow in school.

Friday 1 January 2010

Midnight Sun

A brand new year. Today is the first day of 2010, fresh air, fresh year, fresh textbooks, fresh homework....haiz...

I just came back from Prangin Mall. The Mall was crowded like hell. Way too many people were there to welcome the new year. Anyway I bought two DVDs, Alvin and the Chipmunks and Sweeney Todd.

Then we went to Komtar Walk. Remember Komtar Walk? The completion of the 'walk' was published in the newspaper and they are expecting more visitors there. And guess what? Komtar Walk is boring, hot, and looking abandoned. The most thing that shocked me was: Georgetown White Coffee!! This shop shares the same logo, same tables, same chairs, same paint colours, only different words. Instead of the normal "Old Town White Coffee", this is "Georgetown White Coffee".

Well, it's Friday, two more days later I have to go to school.

Oh...by the way, have you heard of Midnight Sun? The book is retelling the story of Twilight, but this time, it is written from Edward's point of view. It's currently incomplete, but go have a look:
