Language

What makes an essay impressive? The overloaded bombastic words, the banal points or the fluency. I say none.

I say what makes an essay impressive depends on how the person delivers in. If you write an essay with lots of bombastic words (for example, David's), it makes the essay dull. Try this sentence:

That misanthropic, bulbous and always-pontificating brat always talks dogmatically and often surreptitiously slates someone which perforce him to be dreadfully despised by lots of people, both in the world of pedagogy and socialogy, especially after a clairvoyant has a premonition that he'll receive his comeuppance eventually.

Is it nice? It's loaded with bombastic words, either used correctly and wrongly. (I'm not referring to the annoying bastard, he's worse). Try this sentence now:

That misanthropic, fat and always thinks himself as a always-correct annoying boy always refuses to listen to other people's opinions and often criticises someone which therefore causes him to be extremely hated by lots of people, both in the world of education and social, especially after a clairvoyant has foreseen his future and says he'll be paid for what he has done, which many believe is what will happen and what should be happened.

Which one is better? The formal or the latter? You make the choice. I'll choose the latter.
