Break

My sister comes back from Kampar after spending weeks studying. She came back yesterday and we went to Sushi King to have lunch today.

The price there was exorbitant, but that didn't baulk my mother. She continued to binge on sushi, indulging herself in the world of Japanese cuisine while me and my sisters tried to swallow the bowls of rice which were deemed inedible for us. If only peristaltic movements were voluntary I would have swallowed everything down. I hate to waste foods, but shoving them down hurt.

Believe me, the bowl of rice were awful and the soup was HORRIBLE! I guess I'm not that into Japanese cuisine. The rice had a taste and the cucumber was like....I don't know....and the soup was obviously a bowl of water with a packet of chemicals.

And guess what, I saw TPS. She was there with a boy, whom I seriously doubted is her son. That boy is way too young to be her son. Maybe it's her grandson, but then it would make her too young to be a grandmother. The gist: the boy's identity remains undisclosed.

RM67++ were spent for lunch. The price was freakingly expensive, but to some people it is just a princely sum of their money. Horrible. People now are too LIBERAL with their money.

Speaking of wasting money, here's something my mother saw: a receipt at the ATM machine early in this month stating that RM50 was withdrawn and RM2 was left in his/her account. A person usually receives their allowance early in the month and he/she had only RM2 left! How can he/she survive?

Back to the topic.

Next we went to Pacific. No very crowded there. We bought some DVDs and breakfast and yoghurt drinks and then left.

I saw many Malays buying foods. Are they seriously going to wait until they buka puasa, or are they going to break a fast? I'm still wondering.....

Difference

Life has not been going smoothly for me recently. I felt a sudden hormonal rush yesterday. Because of something I am still feeling nostalgic. 3A5, the best class I have been. Annoying huh? Well, here's where I voice out.

Maybe it's because I stick to 4S6 too much, too much till I have not been able to let go of the past.

After spending days trying to figure out why I prefer 3A5, I found some differences:

In 3A5, whenever I reached school, I sat down on my place and took out my books, indulging myself in the world of fiction and sometimes, calculations. Everything was peaceful and no noise could be heard, nor could I listen to people annoyingly bantering with their friends in the hallway or classroom. In 4S3, whenever I step my foot in there, I am peeved by the maddening so-called interesting jabber by the group of people sitting at the back. I am always distracted when I intend to do something, and whenever I am near to going ballistic, I subdue it, to an extention.

In 3A5, whenever a teacher starting teaching, the classroom was quite. Not a single sound could be heard. Everyone was looking intently at the teachers, had their ears fully erected and paid their undivided attention to the teaching delivered. Owing to that, I was always elated and learning things smoothly, all obstacles were successfully thrown to a side. Impervious to the noise. Unaffected by whatever transpired outside the class. In 4S3, learning is so difficult. I try to concentrate in the class, I have my attention on my teacher, ready to absorb everything the teachers say like an eagle poise to strike every prey it sees. But then, whispers could be heard. Even though teachers have asked the students to pipe down, they never do. And it's just simply devastating and frustrating, not to mention irritating and exasperating.

In 3A5, commotions were normal. The type of noise we made, the type of hustle bustle in the class and the garrulous boys and girls coloured the classroom into life. You might find the class noisy. But trust me, once you know what they were talking about, you were somehow attracted to it, and then unknowingly, you joined them. And even though you didn't join them, you laughed when you heard what they said. In 4S3, the noise they made is annoying. (And turn out, I'm not the only one feeling the same way).

In 3A5, students were all jumbled up, all open to any topics available. We could talk about anything, including sex (an obscene topic, admittedly). We could joke around, we could play around, we could do some bullying without worrying meeting the discipline teachers. In 4S3, students are highly polarised. You can have a talk to others, but breaking the ice will need tools, and maybe honed skills (It's a metaphor).

In 3A5, frolicking was the priority, studying came second. In 4S3, studying comes first, frolicking behind.

In 3A5, students co-operated. In 4S3, students tend to act alone.

In 3A5, the jokes were sidesplitting. In 4S3, the jest are facetious.

In 3A5, many events happened and we always shared stories. In 4S3, no events happen and even though something happens, only one friend (only ONE!!) is able for sharing.

After writing all this down, I stand by what I said earlier.

Which class sounds better? The first one, or the latter one?

How to be a lazy teacher?

I'm sure many teachers are tired and bored of teaching the same thing every day and every year. It's not easy to teach, isn't it? Students are just bored when you teach, and sometimes you feel like you are talking to a wall, instead of delivering teachings. Aren't you fed-up trying to do all these things? You wanna make sure these things don't happen?

Well, I'm gonna tell you how to overcome these.

Firstly, whenever you enter class, don't teach. Go inside the class, distribute your notes, and give them time to distribute the papers and paste them. Remember--not to rush! You have to make sure the students distribute the papers correctly, any extras will be a burden for you, because you'll have no idea where to keep it. Make sure the students paste it so that it'll be easier for you to mark the books. And DO MAKE SURE they do it under your supervision! Give them about 40 minutes to paste them, if many papers are distributed.

Are you teaching language? Have you given your students exercises on grammar and comprehension? Yes? Of course you have. Do you have trouble while teaching these, and do some of your students just neglect their homeworks? Frustrating isn't it? I'll tell you how: distribute the papers in the class, and order your students to complete them in your class. Give them at least 30 minutes to finish the exercises. And while they are doing the exercises, you can indulge yourself in cyber world via handphone or just simply sit on a chair, mind outside the class. If you are worried you are overweight, you can walk around the class. By walking around the class, you burn calories, and you also make sure you students do their homework. Isn't it wonderful? Just walking around the class brings your so many benefits.

Don't know how to teach? Don't worry. Go to a bookshop, buy a reference book, just photocopy them and give them to your students. Don't worry if they can't understand, it's a reference book! Everything has been stated black and white, if they can't fathom out, it's their business! After you distribute the papers, just read the notes accordingly, SLOWLY and LOUDLY, so that it drags time.

Don't know what to teach? Simple. If you are teaching language, just simply give them essays. All as I said earlier, just read the notes you give to your students. Remember - it has to be exceedingly slowly, or else you'll have troubles thinking about what to teach next. Thinking what to teach next is just troublesome, why trouble yourself?

Oh! Do make sure none of your students play truant! If anything happen to them while you are in class, you have to shoulder that responsibility. Isn't it just sucks? In order to prevent that, just make sure your students stay in the class. How things could have happen? If they play truant, remember to record their names down! Just in case if anything happen to them, you could show to the families that they were not in the class.

If you teach, you earn RM3000++ a month, if you don't teach, you still get RM3000++ a month. So why take the hard way? Be lazy!!

1 teacher in Jit Sin has succeeded. And his name is--En. Mee Segera!!!! Give him your warmest applause!!! CLAP CLAP CLAP!!!!!!!!

School Life As a Treasurer

Being selected to be the treasurer of my society wasn't what I had expected, and not what I wanted either, but I had to shoulder that responsibility, since it had been given to me.

It is incumbent upon me to record the income and debits. As I'm a science class student I did not know how to do akaun. Which sucks, for a treasurer. I remembered the first time I did it, I had trouble writing them. I tried to look through what previous treasurers did and all I could dig out was writing them in a form given.

The first time I brought it to CMC (who has just retired) he said I needed to bring the receipts for him to see. Can you imagine that? I didn't bring receipt for him, and I expected him to sign the akaun book. I was plain naive, and inexperience, and I'm sure he was despondent about me. I tried to improve, and the next time I sent it for him, obstacles began to show up. I lost a receipt and I forgot to claim the KFC receipt.

And guess what, even though he signed the book, I knew trouble would come eventually. An apocalyptic trouble. Sooner or later I would be called into Ms Saw room, and watched how deadly I would be when I exited her room. Just watch. This is immiment and inevitable. After than I began to gain experiences. I learnt to record everything down on the time I took it or gave the money out. I had a painful lesson, and I don't want to replay it.

Being the treasurer is not only about controlling the flow of money, it's also about trying to increase the money in my hand. I realised previous year, RM1400 was taken out to make t-shirts, and owing to that our society had lost too much money. Even though there were still 38 t-shirts unsold, we were still short of money.

Sometimes, as a treasurer, I have to pester them into giving the money. Most of them gave it reluctantly, but I don't blame them because if I were them, I wouldn't give it voluntarily. But it behoves me to take the money from that, and although some are liberal with their money, most of them aren't, and it's hard to ask them to pay. Especially the form 3s.

It's been only 4 months, and I have learned a lot, and of course, wrong a lot of things. Correcting them is not as easy as what everybody thinks, and now with my teacher advisor retires, every mistakes I did before August will not be able to be amended. The trouble will be sealed forever. As for the next 9 months, I'm sure more things are ahead for me, and now I'm dare to say, I'm ready!

Boiling

I'm currently in IT lab, in which the powers were down and most of the computers were not functioning. My computer, is, however, either lucky or unlucky, is usable and therefore I'm able to access the internet.

Computers were down, luckily, because then we don't have to learn anything. Staying in the lab doing things or lazing around or just chatting are exceptionally fun.

Whatever I'm doing later will be elaborate later.

***Words taken back. Power failure restored on 2.42pm. Damn this school!

MTAM

MTAM stands for Matematik Tambahan, just in case you don't know.

As most people know, my add.maths teacher suffers from a trauma and is hospitalised since June this year, and hence her classes were temporarily abandoned. Few teachers have been taking over her form five classes, but form four classes were still neglected. I hope the school will not be so lackadaisical to us, we are students, we deserve what everybody has.

But nevertheless, schools never listen to advices or pleads from students.

Therefore I have to study all by myself. I'm not intending to go for a tuition class, because tuition class, as I said earlier, doesn't work for me and it cost a lot (RM40 a month?).

I began studying from where NLL stopped teaching and try to pace up with 4S2 (4S1 is too 'fast' for me to catch up). I have finished chapter 6, chapter 7 and is about to do Chapter 8.3, and after that the chapter 8 chapter review and I'll finish chapter 8 soon.

After learning all by myself, I realise add.maths isn't that difficult. It just takes time and patience (and hardwork, of course). That's all.

Caring Week

Finally, after two weeks of hectic days the climatic day had finally arrived, the day I had been waiting for (try to think why would a glutton waits for this day), but of course, since I was a committee I should know I would not be free. As anticipated, I needed to take a duty--selling yoghurt.

But before that we were busy trying to transport the yoghurts from the lorry to our counter. We were lucky the journey was short, because the yoghurts were hell heavy. You should see what we were doing, it was like hell! And ZJ had to record all the products down, to ensure we didn't lose any money nor gain. None of us had calculators so we had to count, without any papers or pencils to write.

4 big packets of ice were given, and we put all of them into the three big containers provided. I was initially worried the ice would melt, but I was, of course, wrong. Ice had stronger endurance than me. (Stop giggling!) And the ice were freezing I nearly got frostbite.

Before I began my duty I went to eat. It was canteen day!! What's the point of celebrating canteen day if no foods were being stuffed down? I supported my society, unwillingly actually, because my coupons were limited and I wished to eat other things which were more delicious. Scouts made mushroom soup, and the soup was fabulous! Then KPL made spaghetti, way too expensive but mouth-watering.

After that, the overcast weather turned drastic. Torrential rain hit and the fun fairs business were ruined. Scouts were so hardworking they began to make a shelter, although students had taken another path to the room.

Okay. Eating was over and duty had begun. Initially students were only allowed to buy yoghurts by dint of coupons, but coupons were limited and most students refused to buy. So would I if I was a buyer. But then teacher, heart shaken by our sweet-talks, agreed to accept cash. And the business was like GOD! You could not imagine how many bottles we had sold off, Pacific and The Store would be envied to death.

Lucky draw was never meant for me. I didn't pay attention to the numbers announced nor did I keep the number with me. I gave it to someone else, who didn't seem to appreciate.

Oh, later an incident happened. A boy, playing basketball, either he banged his head or the ball hit him or whatever, his head was said to be bleeding PROFUSELY. I am certain he was being rushed to the hospital, or at least an ambulance was called. An accident like this would bring teachers to attention, and students likewise.

After noon we all gathered at centre, and then we were given jobs. My job was to clean the canteen. Then later, GMT (very rare to see a discipline teacher being so benevolent to students) gave us coco-crunch, although I didn't like it.

Then photographing shooting session. Everybody went hysterical and began snapping pictures like children. I took some pictures with friends, and please remind me to not to smile next time. My teeth were horrible. They seriously need some fixing, but...money is an obstacle.

Dwell on that later.

Frustrated

I'm just frustrated. I have my hands full with things lately. Accounts is a pain-in-the-neck for me because I have never learned it in my life. Schookworks that I have abandoned since I have been wakil-ling last week for the caring week.

Caring week is like what teachers say, it is not caring at all. It does charity for the needs but for the people who organise or participate it, do not receive any caring and have to sacrifice their school hours and homeworks.

When I'm free I envy those who are busy, when I'm busy I envy those who are free.

Why???

Have to go. Stacks of homeworks have been summoning me.
