You wanna know what a real, pure talent is?

Listen to this acoustic version of Bad Romance by the amazing singer Lady Gaga.

Listen to it with your eyes closed if you must if you find her unsightly.

This is why, she remains an iconic idol in my heart.

Lady Gaga - Million Reasons (Live At Royal Variety Performance)

Don't ask me why I love Lady Gaga.

Just watch it and you'll know why. It's pure talent I admire, and she has the embodiment of one.

Dark Day for Kiwi

Of all places on Earth, Christchurch isn't a place I would expect where terrorism would pay a visit. But then, all it takes is for one person to go berserk and truthfully that can happen anywhere. I pray for New Zealand, and I hope New Zealand, as resilient as it has always been, will speedily recover from the indescribable ordeal. Extremist Muslims exist, but they account for a very little minority and those who were going on with their lives shouldn't be mercilessly taken away just because someone disagrees with their view. I hope the shooter gets what he deserves, and I hope he eventually rots in hell.

Mala Hot Pot

Recently I've got insatiable cravings for Mala Hot Pot (麻辣香锅). It's literally one of the only four food I can accept in Singapore (the other being economy rice, chicken rice and Singapore laksa, which I don't often eat as they are extremely unhealthy). I don't know why but this food is literally one of the best I've tasted so far. Ironically, and expectedly, this isn't an authentic Singapore dish - it's a Chinese (from mainland China) dish which has gained its deservedly popularity in Singapore because of how good it tastes. I love it, though it's a bit pricey. And though it's unhealthy, it's the only food I tell myself I'll never stop eating - if my finance is not tight, and my health permits.

Year of the Pig

And so, the year of the pig has descended.

Nothing particularly interesting happens this year. As one ages, one's excitement towards CNY rapidly diminishes.

Anyway, it's my first time returning to Penang from Singapore since I went to the little red dot for work. It feels good to be home.

And I changed SGD300 to RM900, really felt the strength of the Singaporean Dollar.

But other than that, as everyone else has noticed, this year CNY is comparatively dull.

Anyway, though a tad late, Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

诸事大吉颂Happy

It has been a while since a locally produced CNY song caught my ear.

This song is as catchy as it should be.

And definitely much better than the traditional CNY songs that only scream for money.
